Bill stepped down from the role of managing the Coldwell Banker Harbor Springs office in September and the local community rumors started flying. People have been speculating he was fired or that he's leaving to go out on his own.  So what's really going on?

The real deal is he is stepping down to step up and to make space for a valued team member to grow.

Here is the release we are sending to the local news outlets. We wanted to give our clients, partners and followers the opportunity to hear from us first:

By Alisa Winslow, Bill Winslow and Carried Frisbie

After over a decade in leadership at Coldwell Banker, Bill is turning control of the Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors Harbor Springs office to the New Manager, Carrie Frisbie.

Bill has been in real estate in Northern Michigan for 21 years. During that time his business has grown every year. After having his best year in 2021, selling 80 properties for over $30MM in volume, he decided to stop dividing his attention and turn his primary focus to serving clients, community and his family.

Bill stepped down in June but stayed on as Managing Broker during the search for his replacement.

I have been with Coldwell Banker Schmidt for 21 years so of course I am loyal to the company.  Carrie was first to come to mind and I urged her to apply for the position.  I wanted to make sure the office was supported and give leadership time to find the best possible broker for the job. I feel confident they have done that with Carrie.”

Enter Carrie Frisbie.

Carrie has been serving Northern Michigan real estate clients with Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors Harbor Springs since 2015.  Carrie took time in the middle to work with a local title company which further strengthened her knowledge of title and legal aspects of real estate.   Carrie has a flair for marketing, an eye for detail, and has also seen her business grow over the last few years and still has the capacity and passion to recruit, train, and support the development of agents in the office.

”I feel honored to have received Bill’s recommendation for the Office Manager position. He has provided a prime example of leadership, helping to create an excellent reputation for our office of quality, trustworthy service and a friendly environment. My main objective as the new manager is to carry on what he started: supporting our agents in providing the best experience for all of our clients and community.“

Beginning five years ago, Bill began building out his sales team inside of Coldwell Banker, now called the Winslow Group. First, he added a licensed assistant and saw sales nearly double. Growth continued and last year his wife left a 20-year career in the corporate world and joined the Winslow Group to respond to increasing demand. When growth again exceeded expectations in 2022, Winslow decided it was time to let go of the office manager role and create space for new talent.

The official change took place September 1, 2022, but will be seamless for clients of Coldwell Banker.

According to Bill, Some people think I left to go out on my own, but they dont understand the team model inside of a real estate brokerage. I still bleed Coldwell Banker blue and I am incredibly grateful for all I have learned with their support over the last couple of decades. We are very excited about the transition and cant wait to watch Carrie continue to excel.”
